Welcome to our RPG community newsletter!
Thanks for stopping by. Today’s newsletter is brief.
Here’s What We’ve Got This Round:
RPGs I Recently Picked Up
Guest Writer Warren Davidson Freely Shares His Homebrew ALIEN Content
Special Offer From Schlau (Light in Darkness Gaming)
I’m K.J. If you’re curious, you can learn more about me via my updated About page.
RPGs I Recently Picked Up
I recently picked up physical copies of Frontier Scum, Mausritter (both box sets), and Into the Odd Remastered. I’m looking forward to diving in and seeing what all the fuss is about. Many of my peers have insisted these are good fun, well made, and that I will enjoy them.
I look forward to finally reading these.
Once I’ve run these games, I plan to return with great stories and insightful game reports via my “Accounts of Adventure” series.
Have you played or ran any of these? If so, which did you really enjoy? Have any insight for any of these three RPGs that you’d like to share with others?
Small note: Both of my solo RPG creations are on sale until the end of the month. Thanks for supporting a new, indie game creator along her journey.
Wazza’s ALIEN Homebrew Content
I’ve been privileged to have Warren Davidson (aka Wazza) as a guest writer here. His detailed articles seem to be some of the most read. This delights me greatly, as Wazza is not only someone I consider a friend, but also a very experienced GM. When I began Watch Well Games, I hoped to build community around tabletop roleplaying games. Wazza, along with cartographer Schlau (Light in Darkness Gaming), was one of the first to see this vision and offer material for free.
That said, I want to highlight two of Warren Davidson’s brilliant, homebrew creations. Both are for ALIEN (Free League) and free to all of you - no strings attached. You’ll find in the Dropbox link below both the cinematic scenario “High Jack” for up to six players and the 56-page “Alien Resurrection: Completely Unofficial Sourcebook Update.”
Special Offer from Cartographer Schlau (Light in Darkness Gaming)
My Cartographer partner Schlau says:
Anyone who subscribes to any paid level of my Patreon by the end of August will receive an additional custom 20x20 square map in the venue of their choosing.
If you’ve recently subscribed, here’s a Dropbox link to all the free maps Schlau has offered in the past:
Light in Darkness Gaming’s Patreon is currently in soft launch mode. Subscribe now to support a human creator.
That’s all for this week, folks. Remember:
Enjoy an indie game recently? Help the creators and potential buyers by leaving positive reviews.
Newsletters are free.
A group of hedgehogs is called an array or a prickle. (I prefer array.)
Thank you KJ and Wazza for the free Alien module! Can’t wait to read it!
I will get back to you soon!
