Watch Well Games Issue #45
Audio interview with John Hedge, the co-creator of Embers of Humanity.
Welcome to our RPG community newsletter!
Hi, I’m K.J. In today’s newsletter, you’ll discover a fresh, indie tabletop RPG that I’m very excited about sharing.
🗣️ Looking to connect more with community? I post Notes every 3-4 days to bring us together and share ideas. Join the conversation if you’d like.
⏰Soon: The Creators’ Coalition
I’m working on the final points for the Watch Well Games creators’ coalition before contacting the initial round of candidates.
The coalition’s main goals will be: (1) to help the RPG community make quality game content and (2) to build a healthy network of creatives.

I’m aiming to do a soft launch sometime in February. Watch this space.
🎙️Audio Interview: John Hedge
John Hedge is a multi-faceted individual who happens to make RPG content. If you’re a fan of Call of Cthulhu- and you’ve been around me for any length of time - you’ve probably heard me mention his best-selling alpaca-themed scenarios (I’m especially fond of Alpaca in the Sheep Field). He’s also a key member of the Miskatonic Playhouse, which I’ve highlighted before.
Today, we pivot from CoC to chat about Hedge’s own indie RPG called Embers of Humanity. Once you find your earbuds and about 17 minutes of free time, then please enjoy my interview with him from a few days ago. Hedge offers plenty of inspiration to make it worth your while.
